During my interviews with five respondents, it became evident that the majority of them were new investors who had recently embarked on their investment journeys. They expressed a lack of knowledge on proper investment techniques, uncertainty about selecting suitable investment products, and confusion regarding how much they should allocate for investments in order to attain their financial goals.
I've interviewed some people to find some insights regarding the problems that might be occurred when they start their investment journey. Based on the finding from this interview, I explored some design concept that hypothetically can solve the issues. Then, validate this hypothesis through usability testing to several participants.
Social proof, in the form of real-life examples, not only highlights the benefits of investing but also instills confidence in newcomers, encouraging them to embark on their investment journey with optimism and determination.
Guiding individuals in shaping their investment strategies involves helping them assess their financial objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizon. By considering these crucial factors, individuals can craft tailored plans that align with their long-term goals, ensuring a more secure and fulfilling financial future.
By breaking down intricate details into accessible insights, individuals can make more informed decisions about investing in mutual funds, empowering them to navigate the investment landscape with confidence.
The usability test findings revealed that the design has proven to be useful for the users in achieving their financial goals and making informed decisions when it comes to selecting appropriate investment assets. Completing this project has taught me to understand design experimentation. I've come to realize that design is often born from our own assumptions, and it's crucial to validate each of these assumptions through thorough research. This process enables us to clarify the effectiveness of our design choices and determine whether they resonate well with our intended audience.
📌 Disclaimer: this project is an exploration project to improve my research and design thinking process. At first, it was designed to solve my own pain point when starting my investment journey.
